The lace is delicate enough that I'm careful not to snag the fabric, but not so delicate that I worry about it fraying.
The top half also has the train attached and even has a laced back for further adjustment if desired. The skirt has an elastic waist which is great for a flexible fit, while the top half clasps at the front to be pulled on like a coat. Going onto the design itself, this comes in two pieces as does most, if not all of their clothing. The quality is absolutely incredible, moreso than expected given the price! I did read poor reviews surrounding zippers in particular, but thankfully mine has clasps instead. This fit perfectly and while the fabric does indeed reach the ground, this is purposeful as the gown is designed for use of a hoop skirt beneath. I am 5'4, 130 pounds and ordered a medium size. Perfection! (Renaissance Princess Victorian Cinderella Gown.) That single word sums everything up fantastically. If you’re looking for what their websites advertise, maybe reconsider purchasing from them. I would not have purchased from this company had they been honest about the quality, appearance, and nature of the garment and I am expected to pay return shipping. So not only are they falsely advertising the fabrics used, they’re also misleading customers about the quality of the clothing that they’re selling and very likely using unethical labor.
The website claims that they carefully choose their fabric and design their own clothing, but the dress was made in China. The total cost was around $200 and it arrived a cheap, thin, 100% polyester, unfinished (there is no closure for the sleeves), beige (except for the unfinished cuts which are WHITE) disappointment. I ordered a garment that was advertised as white and 100% cotton. This is really disappointing to have to write, but I had a really poor experience with this seller. They are 100% unresponsive on email, so if you’re having an issue reach out to them via Etsy where they will copy and paste something that proves they didn’t actually read your email.ĮDIT:I will say, that their customer service handled the issue very well and made the return very simple. If you’re looking for what their websites advertise, maybe reconsider purchasing from them. The shipping label uses a business name that is not Victorian Choice, which definitely raises a red flag. The total cost was around $200 and it arrived a cheap, thin, 100% polyester, UNFINISHED, beige disappointment.
They respond much quicker on Etsy than email, so there are messages from both in the screen shots. This is really disappointing to have to write, but I had a really poor experience with this seller. I do not have an explanation as to why the dress was unfinished or the color misrepresented. I will attach our conversation that includes their explanation for the fabric quality. Edit:Victorian Choice fully refunded me and sent me a prepaid shipping label.
